Commissioning Guide

palletizing robot cost

Palletizing robot cost cannot be ranked from an arm sticker price. This commissioning guide treats cost as a cell decision: arm, gripper, conveyors, pallet handling, guarding, controls, shipping, installation and SAT. No numerical saving claim is published without comparable quotations. Nature, carbon or ESG language does not apply to this page.

Approval record: Sample run

Record the SKU mix, heaviest pick, gripper mass, vacuum or clamp settings, pallet corners reached, and cases per minute on that configuration. If vision is proposed, state whether it is required to locate cases or only optional software. Offline programming licenses, recovery procedures and backups are cost items when they are not included. A sample run that omits the interlayer or the highest layer does not support an installed-cost comparison. Keep connected load in kW and compressed air demand with the same configuration, because utility upgrades are often missing from the arm line.

Site readiness

The approval packet should show footprint in mm or in, fence line, three-phase supply, PLC interface, infeed height and pallet-discharge path. Installation hours, training, spare cups or fingers, and destination Incoterms belong either inside the quote or as named exclusions. If a collaborative palletizing robot is offered instead of a fenced cell, the speed and payload used with a person present must be written, because that duty changes both cost and guarding. Missing those lines is a document gap, not a market discount.
